What we collect, and what we do with it
Short, because there is not much to say. We publish articles; we do not run an advertising network.
What we collect
- Newsletter sign-ups. Your email address, so we can send the newsletter. Nothing else is asked for.
- Contact form. Your email address, a subject and your message, so we can reply.
- Server logs and analytics. Our host, Cloudflare, records requests to the site (page, time, country, user agent) and gives us aggregate counts. We use these to see which pages are read and by which crawlers. No advertising cookies, no third-party trackers, no fingerprinting.
What we do not do
We do not sell or share your address. We do not pass it to vendors covered on the site. We do not embed social widgets or ad pixels.
Your choices
Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link, and a reply saying "stop" works too. To have your details deleted, write to desk@thegpledger.com or use the contact form.
Third parties
The site is served by Cloudflare, whose privacy policy covers the request logs it keeps. Photographs are licensed from Unsplash; loading them does not call Unsplash.
